I’m on day 11 of my Keto challenge. So far it’s been much easier than I anticipated to give up carbs and sugar, which for me is really saying something. Not that I don’t have my challenges or cravings, because I still definitely do, but I’ve been able to manage them. It has also done wonders on curbing my appetite. Most of the time I’ll feel like … I should eat but I’m kind of ambivalent about it. It helps me make good decisions since I’m not ravenous. Keto is a fairly easy diet to implement as far as what’s in and what’s out. Eat a lot of fat, moderate protein, and try to keep carbs as low as possible. I like that the explanation portion of the book was light. It just went over most of the need to know and nitty gritty of doing keto without going into exhaustive detail. That might not be for everyone, but for someone who’s been doing nutrition research for years, it helped not feel overwhelmed with information, most of it redundant. So far I’ve lost about 8 lbs, though I’m aware most of it could be water.

I purchased this cookbook from a local book store several months ago. I have gone through the diet plan. The recipes are simple and delicious. This is my favorite ketogenic cookbook. I liked it so much I bought it for my brother too and recommended it to several friends.

Great starter for the keto diet. Most of the recipes are great tasting and easy to cook. Only draw back is the stuff that’s supposed to be in my cupboard isn’t there. Make sure to read the recipes for the week to make sure you get everything you need. Find myself running to the store daily picking some extra ingredients not in the weekly shopping list. Other than that me and the wife are haveing a pretty easy time with it.

My husband and I spend alot of time in the kitchen and are always looking out for new and interesting diet plans and recipes. Keto In 28 by Michelle Hogan has been a great addition to our collection. I have heard of ketosis and the ketogenic diet before but didn’t really know what it was until this informational book. Essentially it is eating a diet high in fat, moderate protein, and very low carbs to promote weight loss. I like that the writer starts off with her personal story right from the introduction. The first section gives you helpful information on what to expect including the carb flu and how to handle it while the second section gives you your first 28 day plan as well as the tools and pantry supplies needed. The rest covers a ton of recipes for you to get creative with.

One of my new year resolutions is always to eat more healthy. I have been wanting to try a new diet to help me maintain my goal weight, once I reach it. I have been hearing so many good things about the KETO diet plan, I was excited to be able to read this book and try it out. The book has been a great resource in learning about what foods I should avoid with this low carb and high fat weight-loss plan. With so many great recipes to choose from, everyone will be able to find something they love! I was very excited when I found I could still enjoy some of my favorite snacks, like peanut butter cookies, with the recipes now have in this book. With chapters that include a 28 day meal plan and recipes for everything from breakfast to sides to desserts. I can’t to try all these great recipes and see how the KETO weight loss plan helps me meet my personal weight loss goal.

This book is amazing! Some very good recipes and a plethera of information on the Keto diet. Alot of great information I will be able to use from now on. Book is well written and has beautiful pictures.

I’ve been using this book for a week now; I’ve legit lost 1 pound (I haven’t seen 119 on the scale for over a year now!) and my fiance has lost 5 (men!). I love that there is a meal plan laid out every week. There are recipes I’ve never tried before, so I really enjoy the feeling of “going out to eat” so to speak. There are a couple items that are hard to find in the book such as venison, sole fish, and arrowroot (what the heck is arrowroot?!), but I’ve just substituted for other proteins. Also, I don’t eat pork and Ms. Hogan uses a lot of pork recipes. I’ve just modified with turkey or lamb.
