This machine is awesome. It all started with watching the film “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead”. It really woke me up to healthy living and JUICING! So I started juicing everyday. I bought a Jack Lalanne juicer and what a piece of crap! It broke within about a month of some serious juicing multiple times a day. So it was time to shell out a little more buck to get something professional! So when looking for a new juicer I did A LOT of research. I found there are two main types of juicers; centrifugal and masticating. The Omega 8003 is masticating and there are some perks to both types, but if you truly are serious about juicing and want to invest not only in a quality juicer that provides quality juice but invest in your health. I suggest the Omega 8003 or any other Omega masticating juicer and here is why. First the ups and downs of each type. Centrifugal perks are: wide feeding shoot, very quick juicing process, good at fruits. The bad: bad at juicing leafy greens, also centrifugal juicers run at 1500 RPMs (plus or minus a few hundred RPMS) which means you will get foamy and very aerated juice! this is bad because more air is pumped into your juice making it degraded quicker! just like when you cut open an apple and the inside turns brown after awhile! Now for masticating juicers the perks are: they use a slow turning auger to squish the juice out that turns at only 80 RPMS! meaning little to no air gets pumped into your juice making it last longer for storing, better tasting and more nutrient rich juice is made! The Omega also produces more yield out of your vegetables and is the go to machine for juicing leafy greens (which is the whole reason to start juicing in the first place). Oh yeah did I mention you can make healthy sorbets, nut butter, baby food, pasta, and a whole slew of other things besides just juice! Now the downsides: a lot smaller feed shoot so you have to cut your veggies down skinnier, it just takes longer to juice, but the clean up is quicker I think. Also if you buy any type of juicer and are serious about juicing go with any Omega brand juicer. I don’t work for them, I am just a really happy customer and they carry a 10 YEAR WARRANTY on the entire machine, where as most brands only have a couple of years coverage on the motor only! I am thoroughly happy with my purchase and couldn’t speak highly enough about them!

I just got this yesterday, but I’ve already used it twice and it is a great juicer. So quiet!! You have to make sure you read the instructions because if you don’t alternate the soft and the harder fruit and veggies, the soft will get clogged in the grinder. You need that harder material to go through to push out the soft pulps. I’m a beginner juicer and was borrowing my sister’s juicer which was a GE. The Omega is much sturdier and does not jump around like the GE and so much quieter than the GE which sounds like jet engines. I like the feeder shoot on the Omega, nothing comes flying out of it like the GE. The clean up is easier with the Omega and it is easy to put together and take apart. And, I love the fold down handle on the top, so much easier to move around. Also, there are so many different tips for different functions that I have not even begun to figure out but it looks like it can be used as a shreader/dicer/chopper as well. Happy Juicing!!!

After reviewing juicers I found that the Omega J8003 would be our best choice to juice fruits and veggies. I love the juicer but It does get clogged when you put a lot of citrus in it. We found that if you mix in kale in between citrus or something hard it will not clog as much and not put all your citrus in at once. I also feel that it should be getting more juice out then it is. Maybe that is why they came out with the 04&06 models? I did have to contact Omega warranty for a piece that was broken and they were great. They shipped out piece right away and were easy to get a hold of. That is another reason why I love OMEGA. Great customer service.

Amazing deal..

Upgrading from a centrifical juicer, my only objective was for better quality juice. One that didn’t turn green from oxidation minutes after juicing and didn’t have that oxidized taste. Instead of having to drink it immediately after juicing I could even have some left over the next day, take to the office, etc. And it would taste more like Odwalla than that slightly bitter aftertaste I was used to.

Awesome! *****

I absolutely love this juicer! I already own a Breville centrifugal juicer and an upright vertical masticating juicer, and although those two juicers work great and I have certainly enjoyed using them, the one big issue with both of them is how long it takes to clean them after juicing. Sometimes I just did not feel like doing all the clean up with them, so I would end up juicing less and less. Recently I began incorporating more leafy greens into my juices, and neither one of the juicers I had was doing as well a job as I was wanting, and I felt like I was wasting expensive veggies by not getting the most juice as I possibly could out of them. So I did my research and ordered this Omega 8003 juicer. IT IS AWESOME! Clean up is soooooo easy now! It is so much easier and faster to clean this Omega juicer than my other two juicers! It literally takes me two minutes to clean this Omega juicer, so I am juicing ALL the time now!

I love this juicer

I love this juicer! Do yourself a favor and bypass the cheaper, centrifugal versions. I have owned several of those because they are cheaper, they all burn out quickly. The omega by far surpassed my expectations. It does take longer but you get more juice. It’s quieter. I honestly think either version, masticating or centrifugal, the clean up can be meticulous and time-consuming, but I feel this is actually easier to clean because the film the pulp leaves isn’t as prevalent. Also, because the juice does not oxidize you can make extra and keep it in the fridge a few days, so ultimately you save time. If you read other reviews, they will say how you have to cut up the produce more. This is true, but as I mentioned the centrifugal ones just burn up when you put larger pieces in them anyways. And that’s just lazy! It’s worth the extra effort of cutting the produce down if your taking the time to juice for the nutritional value. This also processes, grinds, and has attachments that you can make pasta and rolls with. Best juicer I ever bought, and I have owned 4.
